ESRC UK-Brazil Pilot (2025)
This project creates a new collaboration between Centre of Sustainable Finance (SOAS, UK) and FINDE (UFF, Brazil) through a study of the inclusive green finance policy “Fomenta Maricá”. In collaboration with co-PIs Dr Fernanda Feil and Dr Fernando Teixeira, the goal is to evaluate the initiative and potentially suggest improvements and replication in other oil-rich medium-sized cities in Brazil and abroad.

BA/Leverhulme Talent Award (2025)
This award has enabled me to develop my Swahili and R skills, allowing me to create an open-access R package. This digital tool will enable researchers to analyse qualitative data in Swahili – Africa’s most widely spoken language, which is currently not supported by conventional software.

Thailand UK PACT (2025 – 26)
Co-I with Prof Ulrich Volz, in collaboration with the Bank of Thailand, Oxford and Theia Finance Lab. The Just Transition Lab will investigate the challenges faced by Thai micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in accessing transition finance at affordable rates and assess approaches and instruments to enhance their access to transition finance.

BA/Leverhulme Small Grant (2022 – 24)
The study investigated the causes and effects of over-indebtedness in Nairobi, Kenya, to provide new evidence to policymakers. Through applied mixed methods, we analysed data from the FinAccess and combined such findings with 30 in-depth interviews. Results can be found in forthcoming peer-reviewed outputs.
